SAFE SEX
According to Claude Allen, the Deputy Secretary of
Health and Human Services, “Condoms may prevent HIV and gonorrhea, but
they do not protect adequately against other STDs.”

Neither, might I add, do they protect a person from
the damage to their emotional well-being or their soul.

impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints;”

SAFE SEX
Focus on the Family compiled the following conclusions
of the effectiveness of 25 years of addressing the search of intimacy with
"safe sex" ideology. They found:
Ten percent of all 15 to 19 year-old females become
pregnant each year.
More than 80 percent of pregnant girls under age 17
who give birth and keep their babies end up on welfare, costing society
a staggering $21 billion a year.
Three million new cases of STD's among teens are reported
each year.

Unfortunately, safe sex isn't all that safe. Even
if it could deliver the promised results to protect the sexually active
from STD's and pregnancy, how can it protect from the emotional damage
it inflicts on the unsuspecting? The only safe sex is a part of God's plan
of a monogamous marriage.

In the column “Findings” Harper’s Magazine reports
that “A study suggested that many American parents think of their teenage
children as sexually uninterested and of all other teenagers as sexually
hyperactive and predatory.”

Perhaps it would be healthier to understand that all
teenagers have the potential to be chaste or promiscuous and for parents
to have a healthy dialogue with them promoting the former, not the latter.
2 Timothy 2:22 (HCSB) “Flee from youthful passions,
and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who
call on the Lord from a pure heart.”
