Doris Bellerose’s previous water bill came to $81.50,
after her senior discount. Her latest bill caught Doris off guard. The
bill totaled 3.9 million dollars. The Massachusetts resident told a local
paper, “I almost had a nervous breakdown.”
Officials in the city of Dracut, says Bellerose was
not the only resident who found a billing error. They estimate 15 residents
got huge bills as a result of a computer glitch that developed when the
city switched from a biannual to a quarterly billing system.
Water district Commissioner Bob Corey said one of
the city’s billing clerks even received an bill for $3.3 million dollars.
He says the district has corrected the problem and has begun sending new
bills and an apology to the recipients of the inflated bills. Corey added,
“ If I had gotten a bill like that. I would have been screaming too.”

John 4:13-14 NIV Jesus answered, “ Everyone who drinks
this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him
will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring
of water welling up to eternal life.”

The orbiting Cassini spacecraft has sent back images
that have excited scientists about the possibility of water on one of the
moons of the planet Saturn. Pictures from the moon Enceladus show what
appear to be water geysers, providing some of the most direct and dramatic
evidence of liquid water beyond Earth.
The high-resolution images from Cassini show geyser-like
eruptions of ice particles and water vapor at Enceladus' South Pole. Though
they don't actually show liquid water, scientists believe the ice and vapor
are coming form underground reservoirs of liquid water near the surface.
Most scientists believe that where there is water, the possibility of life
exists. Most scientists agree that if Enceladus does harbor life, it is
probably nothing more than microbes or other primitive organisms capable
of living in extreme conditions.
While many scientists are excited about the findings,
David Morrison, a senior scientist as NASA's Astrobiology Institute cautioned
against rushing to judgment about whether the tiny moon supports life.
He said scientists generally agree habitats need several ingredients for
life to emerge and water is only a part of the equation. "It's certainly
interesting, but I don't see how much more you can say beyond that," Morrison
added.

Science has always interested me. I find it interesting
that water is so important for physical life. Jesus said Living Water is
just as vital to our spiritual life.
John 4:13-14 (GW) "Jesus answered her, 'Everyone who
drinks this water will become thirsty again. [14] But those who drink the
water that I will give them will never become thirsty again. In fact, the
water I will give them will become in them a spring that gushes up to eternal
life.'"

For years, scientists in New Mexico didn’t know
why there was excess water in the Rio Grande River. After several years
of searching, they have discovered one of the unknown water sources. They
recently found the largest spring to date, a few miles south of the Colorado
border, near Ute Mountain in the upper Rio Grande basin.
The water source, Lava Tube Spring, has a crater
12 feet deep and bubbles 6,000 gallons of water in the river. The Lava
Tube is the largest of 170 springs discovered to date along the 80-mile
stretch of the upper river.

Jesus can use our lives as spring to provide living
water to our world, just like these springs provide water for the thirsty
cities of the southwest
John 7:37-38 (CEV) “On the last and most important
day of the festival, Jesus stood up and shouted, "’If you are thirsty,
come to me and drink! (38) Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving
water flowing from deep inside you, just as the Scriptures say.’"

Entrepreneur Michael Gerbitz is working to overcoming terror and boycotts
by offering a simple product everyone consumes--water. Gerbitz recently
began marketing a new mineral water from Israel as part of a plan to support
Israel and help victims of terror. He says the new product offers supporters
of Israel an opportunity to express their support by purchasing natural
mineral water from Israel.
Gerbitz says the product is prefect because Americans drink a lot of
bottled water, especially in the summer months. He says every purchase
supports Israel through donations to organizations that provide physical,
financial, and emotional relief to victims of terror. The water is
bottled at a source near the Sea of Galilee near the Jordan River. It is
promoted as a “healthy and refreshingly pure experience for body and soul.”
Gerbitz says Israel’s water is called “Living Water” in the book of Genesis
and says it is an everlasting “Source of blessing.” He adds, “It says in
Genesis that those who bless Israel will themselves be blessed. Who wouldn’t
want to be blessed?”

will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”

It might sound like an oxymoron, but scientists say they have created
a way to save energy during the production of food, drugs, and other items
using “dry water.” The material looks like powdered sugar and contains
95 percent “wet water”, but the liquid is encased by a sandy silica coating.
Scientists believe the substance could combat global warming by trapping
carbon dioxide, and might be useful for storing methane and making natural
gas more efficient.
Researchers think the dry water will make other production processes
that require mixing hydrogen with other materials more energy efficient.
Dr. Ben Carter from the University of Liverpool, unveiled the discovery
at a meeting of the American Chemical Society. Carter said,
“If you can remove the need to stir your reactions, then potentially
you’re making considerable energy savings.” He added, “There’s nothing
else quite like it. Hopefully, we may see dry water making waves in the
future.”

Sounds refreshing, huh? Aren’t you ready now to jump into a big
pool of silica covered H2O? Not me, I like my water good and wet. The only
problem I’ve ever had with it is that I need an unending supply of it.
If only there were water that quenched one’s thirst for all eternity.
John 4:10 (GW) Jesus replied to her, “If you only knew what God's gift
is and who is asking you for a drink, you would have asked him for a drink.
He would have given you living water.”
