In his book "A Delicate
Fade", Ben DeVries writes,
"disappointment feels just like the first time
every time, like getting
used to emptiness but never being without the
feeling of hurt. and before the
new thing leaves, to try to make room for itself
it makes the hole a little
bigger until I don't think I could feel any
more, until the next time. and then
it's gone."

Philippians 1:12-14 (HCSB)
"Now I want you to know,
brothers, that what has happened to me has
actually resulted in the advancement
of the gospel, [13] so that it has become known
throughout the whole imperial
guard, and to everyone else, that my
imprisonment is for Christ. [14] Most of
the brothers in the Lord have gained confidence
from my imprisonment and dare
even more to speak the message fearlessly."
DISAPPOINTMENT
Kateri
and
Jay Schwandt gave their newborn son an unusual
middle name “Sheboygan,”
which is a compound name meaning “she is a boy
again.” Finley Sheboygan
Schwandt is the couple’s fourteenth son. They
have no daughters. —Jim L. Wilson
Sometimes,
laughter
is the best medicine for disappointment.
Psalm
126:2
(CSB)
Our
mouths
were filled with laughter then,
and
our
tongues with shouts of joy.
Then
they
said among the nations,
“The
Lord
has done great things for
them.”
